Netflix’s new Korean competition reality show “The Influencer” features 77 social media stars competing for a 300 million won (about $220,000) grand prize. Created by Lee Jae-seok and Son Soo-jeong, the show allows selective Korean influencers to exhibit their skills and talents to tactically draw the most attention in the show. All Korean contestants come from different platforms, including Instagram, YouTube (YT), TikTok, and AfreecaTV. The cast of the show is diverse, together with dancers, beauticians, gamers, fortune-tellers, drag queens, and more.

Some of the notable contestants competing in Netflix’s show include Juice Seyeon, one of AfreecaTV’s top three creators. Jang Keun-suk is an actor who is known as “the Prince of Asia.” Jung Jiwoo is a well-known entrepreneur and sister of BTS member J-Hope. Sia Jiwoo is globally renowned as a TikToker who has 27.3 million followers and is a K-pop singer. Moreover, Risabae is a popular makeup artist and beauty brand founder.

The Influencer Netflix 2024 release date
Netflix’s The Influencer, a social reality game show, was released on August 6, 2024 on Netflix. The winner of the show will get the title of ‘Best Influencer’. Producer Lee Jae-seok says, “I thought it would be interesting to gather influencers, divided by algorithms, in one place. You’ll see the top influencers in Korea and experience unique entertainment through the large scale and visuals that only Netflix can deliver, along with never-before-seen social survival missions.”
